Gangehi Pass

Gangehi Pass, also known as Gangehi Kandu, is a premier dive site in North Ari Atoll, Maldives, famed for its strong currents and vibrant coral formations. The reef starts at 6 meters and descends to 30 meters, featuring a sandy bed home to stingrays and the amazing zebra shark (leopard shark). Divers can encounter an array of marine life, from Oriental sweetlips and grey reef sharks to colorful schools of bigeye trevally and majestic mantas. The structure of the reef makes the dive manageable even in strong currents, with overhangs in the deeper parts adorned with gold and yellow soft corals and clouded nudibranchs. This dynamic ecosystem and stunning underwater vistas make Gangehi Pass a must-visit destination for all skill levels, experienced best in both incoming and outgoing currents too.
